Two 6 Day In-person Sexological Bodywork Practice Embodiment Retreats in Portugal WAVES TWO & FOUR -

6-Day Retreat September 5th - 10th 2023 - £900 - Arrive the day before on the 4th and depart the day after on the 11th.
6-Day Retreat November 28th - December 3th 2023 - £900 - Arrive the day before on the 27th and depart the day after on the 4th December

Lisbon Airport Bus - £25 for door-to-door transfer is pre-arranged for 4 pm pick up on the day before and departing the day after at 10 am.
7 Nights Accommodation is self-catering and not included in the course fees.

Certificate in Sexological Bodywork - Year 1
Community learning in our Wednesday webinars and home practice working with volunteers and student colleagues.
It is estimated that 25 hrs study time per week is required for the online waves.
The curriculum facilitates students inhabiting ethics on the inside with the foundational relational embodiment practitioner micro-skills that will be practised throughout the training developing practitioner core competencies in emotional and erotic fluency and response flexibility.
Participants learn a variety of Somatic Sex Education™ modalities including sensate focus, the Wheel of Consent®, mindful genital mapping and massage, anal touch, prostate massage, breath work, scar tissue remediation, witnessing and being witnessed with radical acceptance and erotic embodiment coaching, body focusing, clean language and body poem.
Throughout these modules, you will engage in your self-assessment of the core competencies that are being practised, writing a reflection piece of 300 words and posting this on our online learning management platform. Your coach will respond and you are required to respond to two other students’ reflection pieces of your choice.
The curriculum includes self-practice, working with volunteers, assignments, study, and reflective practice. We are visited by Ellen Heed who guides our understanding of genital and anal anatomy, the nervous systems, the enteric nervous system and working with scars.
Alongside the biological, anatomical and chemical models of understanding, genital identity, gender identity, sexual expression, and emotional and physical repair processes are explored. Affective relational neuroscience and ecosystem perspectives are woven in with all of the teachings and practices.
The Sexological Bodywork training in-person retreats
We meet together as a community for 6 days in-person to practice the curriculum from the online Modules 1 & 3. The days begin with a morning practice at 8.30 am and end each day at 7.00 pm with one evening session on day 4.
Students practice in groups of 3 in the Client, Witness and Practitioner roles, enhancing practitioner understandings in each role.
During these 6 days the focus is on continuing to develop the relational embodiment and sexological bodywork core competencies enhancing repertoire joining this pioneering profession of Somatic Sex Education™.
Practice and learn different ways of facilitating Somatic assessment and "I Want" intake
Practice applying the Wheel of Consent supporting ethically being in service with clients and being resourced as a practitioner
Practice the Engage, Study, Activate and Integrate model of facilitating group work for facilitating learning and inhabiting new ways of being in the community.
Practice Sexological Bodywork modalities including scar tissue remediation, genital mapping, anal mapping, coaching self-pleasure practices, active receiving and the ethics of working with altered states of consciousness with arousal
Practice self-regulation and co-regulation of affective states using breath, movement and voice
Practice radical acceptance, response flexibility and co- regulation of affective states using Clean Language and Body Poem
In Module 4, we will explore common presenting concerns that a client might bring and review your professional core competencies and learning edges.
In Module 4, you will learn about the CSB Session Structure, creating professional relationship agreements and practice full authentic sessions using the full session structure,
Bursaries & Scolarships
There are many aspects of being human that are under-represented in the field of somatic sex education and there are many people financially disadvantaged by socio-economic systemic power structures that impact personal and status power.
The Association of Certified Sexological Bodyworkers (ACSB) has a worldwide “BIPOC Scholarship Fund”. For these awards, the Institute for Relational Harmony Studies donates 30% of the figure received back to the ACSB BIPOC Scholarship Fund. You can apply for this after being accepted onto the CSB or CSSE training. We write to the board requesting this award.
Bursary & Scholarship students do not receive a subsidy for Joseph Kramer’s $450 Heritage fee which is required to be settled in a separate payment before the start of the training.
The Institute for Relational Harmony Studies has a commitment to inclusivity to inspire more aspects of being human to participate and be represented.
Our commitment is to contribute to enhancing people inhabiting their personal and role power becoming practitioners in service to the evolution of humanity as part of the ecosystem.
We, therefore, offer a bursary of 30% of the full Training Investment fee, to Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic (BAME) and/or trans students and will also consider bursary awards to people financially disadvantaged by systemic power structures.
These discounted places do impact the resources of the training and are at the teacher and administration team’s discretion. We honour our limits to support us in maintaining our optimum generosity.
The Joseph Kramer Scholarship
The Institute for Relational Harmony Studies awards a £400 scholarship discount to students who have participated in Joseph Kramer’s School of Erotic Touch Course.
Joseph discounts his $495 Heritage fee by $100 in return so you pay $400 less for the course fees and $100 less of Joseph’s $495 Heritage fee.
This does not apply if you are already receiving another bursary or scholarship.
Cancellation, Refund & Deferrment policy
Cancellations - If we were to cancel the training, for any reason before the planned start date without another start date within a three-month period, the enrolment fee would be refundable. Any other costs incurred would not be refunded by the school.
If we were to cancel parts of the training, for any reason, you will receive the appropriate percentage refund of modules not completed unless you decide to re-enter the training at the next scheduled opportunity from the beginning again. In this circumstance, there would be no refunds given and no extra course fees would be required.
If You cancel after you have accessed the online training materials: No refund will be made.
If you decide not to go ahead with the training and cancel up to three months before the program begins: You will receive a refund minus the non-refundable, non-transferable enrollment fee of £500. If You cancel 93 days or less before the program begins: No refund will be made.
If you begin the training and are unable to complete for any reason, there is no refund but we will, in some circumstances, consider deferral of your place to the following year.
If your deferral is agreed upon, subject to the places available, it is required that you re-attend the percentage of the course you are participating in for the second time along with paying the percentage of the course fees from the beginning to the end of the module where you left the training.
The training is a community learning experience co-creating the course container agreements from the beginning. Therefore, it is not possible to come back the following year part of the way through the training, due to the intimate depths of community learning and participation.
Deferment in exceptional circumstances: If it becomes clear to you during training that you are unable to complete it, in exceptional circumstances we may consider deferral of your place to the following year. If we agree to this:
You will need to complete all enrolment procedures again
You will need to attend the next training from day 1 and repeat the entire course
If your deferral is approved, you will be required to pay a proportionate amount for those parts you are repeating. For the CSB training, for example, this means that you would be asked to repeat the Relational Embodiment Foundations training at your own cost. The course fees for this are £900 for those continuing to onto the following CSB training. If we agreed on deferral with you in Wave 1 you would pay 30% of your original course fee to return the following year, in Wave 2 you would pay 40% of your original course fee to return the following year in Wave 3 you would pay 70% of your original course fee to return the following year, in Wave 4 you would pay 80% of your original course fee to return the following year in Wave 5 you would pay 100% of your original course fee to return the following year.
