Worldwide, it is acknowledged that the original sexological bodywork training alone does not equip practitioners with all the necessary skills and tools for ethical practice in our current climate.  As practitioners working in this highly skilled work, we might inevitably have blind spots with power and consent without the structures, language, and framework to navigate these. It can be understood that we are experientially blind without symbols and language to reference and categorise unconscious dynamics at play in relationships. The absence of these structural ways of recognising these dynamics has led to multiple unintended client impacts and painful grievance processes for practitioners.

We have radically updated our CSB training here at the IRHS, which is now an 18-month training program. The first nine months provide the foundational skills in understanding the dynamics of power differentials, applying Clean Language and Body Poem™ as a coaching model that limits unintended reframes of another’s experience and our unique blend of power awareness-informed Wheel of Consent™ teachings.

We have also included updates to equip practitioners to apply Sexological Bodywork and Sexological intimacy training with the Wheel of Consent™ work online with guided client self-touch.

Good faith and intention impact mismatches

Many practitioners come into this field of work in good faith, understanding the potential of facilitating somatic openings that can integrate exiled aspects of ourselves and transform pain into pleasure. However, clients and practitioners alike can be left with emotional hangovers without the skills and resilience to navigate common intention impact mismatches. Video sessions Coaching

The old CSB & CSSE training did not include this type of video coaching feedback or these skills. We aim to support all historically trained CSBs and CSSEs who may have years of experience but need some updates rather than retraining. This is a cost-effective way of updating ethical practice as part of your Continuing Professional development.

You would develop skills to be equipped to coach the CSI curriculum and join the new CSSE Coaching and progress to becoming one of our growing panel of Supervisors, trained in The Right Use of Power, so essentially needed for Sexuality professionals in our field

These MasterClasses allow you to learn all of the above Ethical frameworks and skills step by step in stages.

We have decided to offer our Ethics MasterClass training in 1-1 sessions rather than in a group to facilitate the privacy often required with such tender navigation of ethical blindspots. This way, you can privately explore your learning edges and update your professional practice without the tendency to perform, which often happens in group training programs, especially where our reputation might be on the line. This is an opportunity to retrain privately. When enough of us have come through these professionally vulnerable times, established ethical confidence, and are well-versed in the new paradigm categorisations and structures that support this, group supervision for staying in a close-knit community can be made available.

Step 1 - Arrange a no-charge 30-minute Discovery call with Katie Sarra or Phoebe Garland - This is where you can share the learning edges you are navigating and your questions.

Step 2—Arrange a one-hour supervision session with the learning edges you are navigating, facilitated by the IRHS Supervision structure - £90.00

Step 3 - Send a private video session as an example of your practice. This will be held in the strictest confidence and deleted after your coaching session. This offers bespoke written coaching opportunities that other types of supervision miss. There is much to learn in the live facilitation process rather than just in the reflections. We hope you will fall in love with yourself through this excruciating process with much to learn. Phoebe or Katie will watch your recording and write detailed coaching feedback in preparation for your coaching call - £90.00

Step 4—Arrange a 90 Minute call to receive expert coaching that includes teachings from the Right Use of Power, Wheel of Consent, Body Poem, and the latest Sexological Intimacy Training and Bodywork syllabus to update your practice and give you the ethical confidence required for working in this field in the current climate.

Another route is to join the CSI training for 9 months and gain a deep grounding in The Right Use of Power woven with the Wheel of Consent applied to all Sexological Bodywork Modalities online.

Step 5—You will receive PDFs of the latest training materials we have developed over the last two years. The vigilant student practitioners who have taken this new syllabus have tried and tested these materials.
